Who we are

Jambo Routes is a tour operator based in Nairobi, Kenya. We are responsible for the personal data described here.

What we collect

• What you enter in a quote request: name, email, WhatsApp number, travel month, number of travellers, budget, places of interest and any notes.
• A one-way scrambled form of your internet address, used only to block spam. We cannot turn it back into your address.
• Only if you accept analytics cookies: the pages you visit, your approximate location and your type of device, through Google Analytics.
• Anonymous visit counts from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you.

Why we use it

To reply to your request, prepare a quote and, if you book, arrange your trip. We do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to, and we never sell your details.

Who else handles it

Our website host (Railway), our network and security provider (Cloudflare) and our email provider (Resend) process it on our behalf. If you accept analytics cookies, Google processes analytics data for us, which may happen in the United States. If you book, we share what is needed with the camps, hotels, drivers and guides on your trip.

How long we keep it

We delete requests that do not lead to a booking after 24 months. Booking records are kept as long as the law requires for tax and accounting.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or object to how we use them. Contact us at the contact details on this site. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner in Kenya.
